Greece will return to the United Cup in January 2027, with Stefanos Tsitsipas and Maria Sakkari once again leading the national team at the Australian summer tennis tournament.

The Greek duo have been confirmed alongside Canada’s star pairing of Felix Auger-Aliassime and rising talent Victoria Mboko, as organisers continue announcing teams for the competition.

World No. 7 Auger-Aliassime will headline Canada’s campaign after reaching the quarter-finals at both the French Open and Wimbledon earlier this year. The Canadian enjoyed a career-high ranking of world No. 4 in 2026.

He will partner 20-year-old Mboko, who made a remarkable rise of more than 300 places in the world rankings over the past year.

Greece will be looking to go one step further after narrowly losing to the United States at the start of the 2026 tournament. Tsitsipas and Sakkari remain among the competition’s major attractions, with their participation expected to draw strong support from Greek tennis fans across Australia.

The United Cup features leading men’s and women’s players representing their countries in singles matches, followed by mixed doubles clashes during the round-robin stage.

The 2027 edition will take place in Sydney and Perth from January 1 to 10, with the tournament bringing some of the world’s best tennis players to Australia to launch the new season.

Poland won the previous edition of the competition.
